You can only write English words or PinYin on the birth registration form. It depends on you if using English name or PinYin for your baby.

有啊,哈利波特里边哈利的初恋情人就叫张秋,cho chang. 其实没必要分青状,英文也好,中文也好,好听好记好意思自己喜欢就成。

我认识的两个人都是只给小孩起了中文名字,没有英文名字。如果你的名字的拼音比较好读的话老外还是会读的,没有必要大家都叫MIKE ZHANG。多没有个性。

颇合吾意。韩国人和日本人大都不起英文名字,用本名的英文拼写,只有我们一人一个英文名。我们老标榜自己多么热爱自己的祖国,和韩日一比,确实差得比较多。

无意冒犯那些用英文名字的人。我们以前开玩笑说北京人养狗都起英文名字,上海人上班都用英文名字。

上海人不知道,但至少我出国前北京人养狗没听说有英文名字的。现在知道的朋友养的狗也都是什么点点,闹闹什么的。

这边的韩日裔一般都是英文名字。连这都和爱国挂钩,如果真挂钩,你孩子长大是加

我觉得倒不是爱国不爱国的问题,只是中国人的姓太少,老外的名字太少,两个组合之后重复的太多,没有什么个性。看到steven zhou,michael zhang之类的名字不能留下什么印象。

Most of Japanese and Korean 2nd generation uses their English name. I know about 20 of them, no exceptions.

你觉得英文名字是他们的证件上的名字吗?我工作用英文名,中国同事也只知道英文名,但他们是知道我们都有中午正式名字的。韩日裔是不是你不知道他们的正式名字是什么?

不知道你想说明什么。这边华裔,韩裔,日裔长大后都会认为自己是加拿大人,而不
是父母来的地方。怎么总拿他们和我们比。我们虽然叫华裔,但生长在中国,在这
住100年还是算中国人,和土生土长的华裔是两回事。你有问题就问,想爱国上时势去

我想说得很简单:就是其实我们并不知道哪些本地长大的韩日裔或华裔的护照或出生证上的官方名字,只凭日常接触的名字就断定他们官方first name是纯英文的过于武断

对不起,我一般不要求朋友同仁出示出生证。这是他们工作,社交,旅行和自己认可
的名字。KRISTI YAMAGUCHI,GRACE PARK之类。你是说应该给孩子起个不用的FIRSTNAME?
