slab on grade的致命缺陷是每到冬天,地面会随冻土层波澜起伏,日久了地面会裂,墙也会裂。通常slab on grade用于已经有了foundation wall and insulation,但是没有地下室,还有室外的小型建筑(garden house, shed)。

Slab on grade在安省的建筑规范里,要求slab在地面上部分最少8英寸,在地下部分最少12英寸.如此而已.我家的地基保温和钢筋,是我自己加的,不是建筑规范里要求的,trench也不需要挖4英尺,但要尽量到达undisturbed soil,并且要compacted.

1,照您的看法,加拿大很多的小建筑物附属的车库(车库的地基很多都是SLAB ON GRADE)与主建筑间应该都有很大的裂缝了!2,您说的"已经有了foundation wall and insulation然后再浇筑slab",这样的地基不叫slab on grade.3事实上,只要按照安省的建筑规范来正确设计和施工(用料),基于slab以及slab上的建筑物的重量,slab on grade下的 冻土层小起伏可以忽略不计. ,

这种passive solar greenhouse一般是用来种菜的,因为knee wall很短,不适合放置potting bench.
