本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛I am working in the largest bank in Singapore -DBS. Two years ago, with 1b dollars, DBS out-sourced its whole IT to IBM. After that, IBM Singapore is quickly moving all the jobs to IBM India.

First, are all the web applications, including web front end and EJB layer. They have many ways to do it. The bottom line is: DBS won't do it anymore.
Then, all mainframe maintenance work.
Then, testing and test automation of these applications. We are opening the connection from our datacenter to India. And even from these projects, IBM is setting up a regional test center here.

What has not been out-sourced yet?(I mean these jobs are still in Singapore.)
1. Data warehousing project.
2. Intergration team
3. The bank still has a architect team with less than 10 persons.
4. The delivery center
I am working in this delivery center. All the applications finally have to be delivered to this center and passed throught all the QA and testings. We control the process. I am not sure how they can out-source this job at this moment, unless they move the data center to India.
